LIVUP — Clinical Health & Performance Protocol for International Assignments
Every year, companies invest CHF 150K-1.2Mio to relocate a single employee. The logistics are handled. The apartment is sourced. The visa is processed. The flight is booked.
And then the person arrives — jet-lagged, disoriented, operating on cortisol — and the investment starts to fail in silence.
LIVUP is the clinical health and performance protocol that closes the gap nobody in relocation is talking about. Designed by a licensed physiotherapist and nutritionist with eight years of clinical practice, LIVUP applies evidence-based health science to the space where assignees live and work — from day one of arrival, in any corporate apartment, anywhere in the world.
This is not wellness. It is performance infrastructure for international talent. No wellness program can handle individualises issues and can tell you what to do to fix them
The Problem We Solve
International assignment failure is not primarily a logistics problem. It is a biological one.
When a person relocates internationally, three physiological mechanisms activate simultaneously — and none of them are addressed by traditional relocation support.
First, sleep architecture collapses. An unfamiliar sleep environment disrupts circadian rhythm and suppresses deep sleep by up to 40%. Without deep sleep, cognitive performance, emotional regulation, and immune function all deteriorate — before the assignee has attended a single meeting.
Second, cortisol levels double. The sustained hormonal stress response triggered by relocation suppresses immunity, impairs executive function, and drives the chronic fatigue that many assignees experience as a vague but pervasive underperformance. When cortisol remains elevated for months, it contributes directly to the early repatriation decisions that cost companies everything.
Third, cognitive overload accumulates. Every task in a new country requires conscious effort — navigating an unfamiliar healthcare system, understanding local nutrition, adapting to a new cultural register at work. The mental load of novelty is three times higher than in a familiar environment. Decision-making quality, creativity, and communication all suffer.
Traditional relocation services solve housing, visas, bank accounts, and airport pickups. They do not address sleep. They do not address cortisol. They do not address cognitive load. The result is an industry-wide 40% assignment failure or underperformance rate, sick leave at twice the local staff rate in year one, and 73% of expatriates reporting high stress in their first six months abroad.
LIVUP was built to solve the part nobody else is solving.
The LIVUP Protocol
LIVUP is a structured clinical protocol delivered in five pillars, applied to any existing corporate apartment. No new housing is required. LIVUP works as an add-on to whatever your company already uses.
Sleep Optimisation
The foundation of everything. A personalised sleep protocol is delivered and explained on arrival. Without this foundation, no other intervention produces lasting results. Mattress too hard but you cannot change it? We will take a look at it together and I will make sure to adapt it to your needs. As well as what it means "to sleep good or bad" -> how to bring out the best quality in sleep?
Ergonomic Workspace
Posture and workspace geometry are direct drivers of energy, focus, and long-term musculoskeletal health. We will have a look how you workspace looks, how it fits to your body and your needs and how to make sure the neck or back pain is not returning.
Physical Stand
Physical deconditioning accelerates within weeks of a major life disruption. Movement is the fastest mechanism available for cortisol regulation — and it works from day one, without requiring a gym membership or spare time. Mobility sessions, individualised training plans (you can use in your gym membership from your company), check ins and continuous work on your body will make sure that your not only surviving but thriving.
Performance Kitchen
Nutritional displacement is one of the most underestimated contributors to expatriate health decline. The brain-gut axis is the most sensitive on a big move. We make sure that we regulate your nervous system with the right foods for you - even when you dont have your home known food with you. Premium clients receive gut microbiome testing and a full nutritional protocol built from biomarker data. As well as talking about supplements.
City Integration Pack
Cognitive overload drops when the city becomes familiar. LIVUP delivers a curated city orientation covering the local healthcare system, administrative setup, transport, emergency contacts, and cultural navigation. This is not a generic pamphlet — it is a personalised briefing delivered in person on arrival, with ongoing support throughout the onboarding period.
The Onboarding System
Every LIVUP placement follows a structured onboarding sequence that mirrors the standards of five-star hospitality — preparation before arrival, personalised activation on day one, and documented outcomes throughout.
Before arrival, the assignee completes a short Pre-Arrival Quiz covering five dimensions of need: health and wellbeing, medical history, bureaucracy and administration, social integration, family and living environment, and career transition. The results generate an individual needs profile that determines which modules are activated and how intensive the support will be.
On day one the assignee receives a full walkthrough of their environment, a 60-minute clinical assessment, and immediate activation of their onboarding pathway.
In weeks one through four, check-ins are structured and scheduled — never ad hoc. Progress is tracked across all five pillars, documented in the CRM, and reported back to the corporate client with measurable outcomes. At the end of month one, the assignee completes a pathway-specific NPS survey, and the corporate client receives a full written outcome report.
From months two to six, the protocol transitions into ongoing performance support — monthly deep-dives, progressive movement programming, and proactive reassessment whenever a significant life or work change occurs. Corporate clients receive quarterly aggregate reports across all active assignees.
The Three Service Tiers
LIVUP operates across three tiers, all of which include the full five-pillar apartment setup and the arrival health assessment. The tiers differ in the intensity and frequency of clinical support. As well as the usage of the LIVUP App.
The Basic tier is designed for self-directed professionals who want a high-performance environment and an individualised programme, with monthly check-ins to maintain momentum.
The Corporate tier — the most frequently selected — adds bi-weekly health check-ins, weekly mobility and physiotherapy sessions, a personalised nutrition plan, and targeted apartment upgrades. This is the recommended tier for standard executive assignments.
The Premium tier is designed for C-level relocations and families. It includes weekly health check-ins, extended movement coaching, gut microbiome testing, hormonal and nutritional biomarker analysis, and full coverage for the assignee's partner — who receives identical treatment throughout the placement.
All tiers are priced as a monthly add-on to existing housing costs. Volume discounts are available for three or more concurrent placements.
Why LIVUP Is Different
Three things no checklist can replicate: clinical expertise (licensed physiotherapist, nutritionist, ON Running & Swiss Football Federation consultant), personal presence on day one, and documented outcome reporting — NPS per pathway, sick leave tracking, quarterly HR reports.
The ROI Case
One failed assignment costs CHF 150K–1.25M. A full LIVUP placement costs a fraction. Preventing one failure funds 15–25 placements.
